He got her back onto the toilet though.

That was my first laugh-out-loud in days!

He wouldn’t have gotten away with that with my mother. She reacted to something like that with a roundhouse swing. She was bitten by a black widow when she was a child, and was terrified of spiders all the rest of her life.

One of my brothers knew how to get around that, though. We were all walking along a path, with my brother’s wife behind my mother, and my brother behind his wife, when he reached over and touched our mother on the shoulder. My mother reacted wildly – and smacked his wife. It should be no surprise that he paid a price for that little stunt.

Payback for tipping the chair over while he was in it.

I’m a visual person. So I am trying to figure out how Opal got her bottom so far down in the toilet with the seat down? At least from my perspective, the lid is up but not the seat. Of course, I do realize that if the seat is up that her bottom would be slightly damp in the last panel. :)

Thank you, SADDENEDBY. I was just observing that Earl had, for all his other faults, left the seat down.
