I honestly don’t know what we’re expected to do. I used to work for a company and I kept my password written on a sticky note attached to my computer—it was always some computer generated thing for “extra security.” The IT guy came in one day and chastised me. I said, “Fine, every morning I’ll just call you to get my password, because there’s no way I can remember it since we have to change it every 30 days and we’re not allowed to select our own.” He never said a word to me about it again. If we’d been working on top secret stuff I could at least accept it, but we weren’t.
I can RELATE. Just yesterday I had what I refer to as “a password app” crash. I tried to log in to my bank and I was locked out. Used many passwords, none of them worked so the bank locked me out. Actually, its in my favor, nobody else can get in. I’ll call bank tomorrow to get it going again.
How to create a decent password that you might be able to remember:
1. Pick a lesser known poem (because poetry is easier to remember)2. Select a random two lines3. Use the initial letters from the words (so you can say the lines in your head as you type in the password)4. Make a few simple letter substitutions you can remember (like 5 for S, # for H)

That isn’t very secure either.

I have all my passwords saved online. As long as I do not forget that password I am good.

Or go to Lastpass.com for a free password manager (not affiliated with that site, just a user.)
