The boys and the Toddler seem to have the same reaction to the new baby – kind of, what exactly is happening?

I guess this also means we’ll be back to an endless parade of tiny hats!

Is that a pink blanket and pink hat I’m seeing on the baby?

Excellent question, Elvis.

Being the good reporters that they are, I wonder if the boys were curious- after the first baby- why only one? And why only one color? Do people not have Calicos? And why no stripes? The people may be big, but their markings are boring..

I wish I could place the face on Elvis. Looks like some cartoon creature I remember from my childhood, but can’t remember which cartoon or even what the creature was.

Kinda’ reminds me of Joe Cocker, singing…

I’m also seeing a pointer in Puck’s paw. If the pointer is out, a chart can’t be far behind.

Interesting that when Elvis asks, “How many of these things are they going to have,” he holds up three claws. Anything you want to tell us, Georgia?

Elvis you’ve got a little while – longer than with kittens – before this one is mobile, too.

The Woman and the Man are still smiling. They must not have noticed the curtains or the remains of the houseplants yet.

Don’t worry Puck. I don’t think the People speak Cat and they’re so buoyantly happy that they probably wouldn’t have noticed what Elvis said anyway.

Excellent question, skykey..why only one? My most fertile queen once had 14, and we managed to save and place every one of them.

Elvis should be glad people’s litters usually have only one or two babies, instead of the many in a cat litter.

Good morning and happy Tuesday/Bluesday, orbsters and orbabies. Oncologist and dietician are both pleased with Paul to date. He has chemo tomorrow and we are crossing our fingers that it will go well.

Georgia — I can’t help it, but as I was reading the cat’s comments, I thought that I’ve seen those looks on our cats at various times. A little scary for an old hippie…. 8^)

Georgia Dunn is so in tune with the cat mind, it scares me sometimes.

Any of you have experience with having a cat with a Class III heart murmur having dental surgery? My 14 year old alpha male has at least two teeth than need to go. The vet suggests taking him to Oklahoma State where there’s a veterinary anesthesiologist for exam and extractions. We’re going to do it, date not set. He’s hypothyroid, too, treated with meds. This morning I was thinking that my cat household has had just three alpha cats since 1984!

My grandma once said pretty much the same thing as Elvis here when I announced I was expecting our fourth baby: “Well when are you two gonna quit!” She was not pleased that my reply was to laugh and say, “Along about menopause!”

Also like Elvis, my grandma fell head over heels for that next baby! She would often confide, “Now don’t tell the others, but he’s my favorite!”
