Ha! So did I. My parents made me cross that same street every Sunday to catch a bus to Sunday school (so they could lie in bed and canoodle, I guess). I was seven or eight.
Thank God, my parent never found out half the stuff I got up to as a kid !
Although, my Dad seemed to know everything I did – sometimes before I even got home. I swear he knew everyone in town – which was close to true – and they would tell him my every movement.
When I was in my late 30’s my Dad told me his secret of how he knew everything (almost) I’d done as a teenager….I talked in my sleep !

That’s what I told my kids-if I don’t already know it, I never need to know it!

Back in the day we got away with almost everything. Thank goodness. If my parents knew half the stuff I did I would have been executed.

So she crossed a street. Big deal. You did teach her how to do it properly?
