Lizz iz laying some heavy story on “Steve” (Lafeete) Austin.

I just hope Crystal does not turn out to be like what her mother had become

What if Austin is covering a B in his forehead

I think Bribery used Crystal to blackmail Ugly Christine to follow his bidding.

Even though it’s appearing more likely that Austin could be Crystal father, it could actually be an even more preposterous postulation than the past few I’ve posted: Austin is actually a shape-shifting enemy of the Lunarians. His awkward pose at the base of the tree in yesterday’s strip is because that was early in his assignment and he was still not completely comfortable with human form. He’s been in “sleeper” mode for years but his mission has been reactivated by the Moon Governor’s visit to Earth. “Austin’s” reawakening is also the source of the unknown telepathic signals detected by the Governor. Unlikely, yes, but also fun to conjecture!

Maybe by Sunday we will be back to wrap up the Sawtooth part of the story.

OK—Tracy is a Soap Opera, so it follows that Lafayette is related to Crystal. Still Lizz shouldn’t have brought all this up—that’s really not her call. What if Lafayette is not all he appears to be?

“Huh?” He heard the news today, oh boy. Lizz pushes the “mystery father” arc along at a nice clip. Until recently, Crystal has been in boarding school. Bribery calls her Ugly Crystal, further establishing her as Christine’s daughter. We get a glimpse of she and Honeymoon at the mall—scene of the thwarted robbery—to confirm the similarities in appearance. Lizz has given Austin plenty to ponder, even Sam and Tracy race to Magic City to locate and confront the murderous Sawtooth. Very efficient storytelling.

There are stories to tell

Some poorly and some well

But we certainly know for sure

Whether a hit or a miss

And we cheer boo or hiss

We’ll always come back for more

I suppose this interlude is my fault for asking how the Honeymoon / Crystal sub plot tied into the Sawtooth story

OK, now it’s getting interesting…

Lafayette: “That means Crystal’s father must be…my identical twin brother de Grasse!” LOL j/k

Amazing how one of the best detectives in the city let that comment get by her without questioning it.

Everyone HERE caught it, but it went COMPLETELY over her head.

Maybe this news flash from Lizz will awaken sleepy-eyed Austin, whom I find still more than a little creepy, even if he does turn out to be Crystal’s biological father (certainly not her “dad,” since he hasn’t even known of her existence in her 12 or 13, possibly 14, years on earth). Could he be a double agent and on Bribery’s payroll even now?

First we go on Maury Povich to find the daddy, then over to Dr Phil to discuss being abandoned.
