Working on the assumption that Tuesday’s Prickly City will be a continuation of the Hunny Bunny saga, I prepared my comment in advance. I will just say this:
Hillary seems to bring out the worst in conservatives.
A quick look at yesterday’s comments yields two main divisions among conservative commentators. One was, bring her on! We’d love to see her lose again! And again! And again! Two was the more usual, thank goodness “our guy” won.
The “our guy” who first said, “My team didn’t make any contacts with the Russians.” Who then said, “I didn’t know my team made any contacts with the Russians.” Who has always said, “No collusion, just ask Putin.” Whose lawyer now says, “Collusion is not a crime.”
Looks like Scott Stantis is going to build at least a full week’s worth of a theme based on a premise that is dubious, that Hillary is going to run. Unlikely. And if she did, she won’t get very far. Yes, without massive voter suppression, massive intrusion by a hostile foreign adversary (including CONspiracy with the highest level of Comrade TRUMPski’s advisors such as Steve Bannon, his final campaign boss, operating Cambridge Analytica to illegally manipulate and abuse Facebook data that was supposedly private, and the DIGITAL WATERGATE of breaking into the DNC, only this time outsourcing it to foreign adversaries), Hillary rightly won the election.
But even with all that, she should have won against a vulgar, racist, incoherent CON man scam artist by 20 points. She could not control her message or manage a campaign. She has had her chance.
There are other excellent Democrats waiting in the wings.
Stantis is going to waste a week of material, but I guess that keeps him out of trouble for a few days.
Oh lord. Republicans are in the thrall of the “Man of La Mancha” syndrome. They view themselves as brave and moral defenders of right and freedom, but in reality are delusional, seeing enemies where there are none and fighting nothing other than own paranoia.
My niece shared a FB post on what the left will do when they get power again. A lot of it is not for a family strip, except for the line, “We’re going to collect all your guns, and melt them down into a giant metal mountain with Hillary Clinton’s face emblazoned on it!”
I think the underlying message here is that Hunny Bunny “could” run unless someone else steps up to the plate. It’s a warning, and an instruction to set up campaign committees, trips to Iowa, grass roots groups, etc.
I like the H & K Bunny characters, but I gotta say — I was done with the Clintons on a personal basis five minutes after Bill was elected. After the last two years I DREAD the idea of another Clinton (with the possible exception of Chelsea’s baby) being in the public spotlight again. It’d be like having stomach flu on top of food poisoning.
Please show me any credible source where Hillary says that she intends to run again – this is all a straw man set up by Republican (and Russian) trolls
i don’t follow this comic but have read it and I am commenting because it is on the front page of GoComics, today. i just wonder how an old, white man justifies creating a young, woman of color character to voice his conservative opinions. not that there aren’t conservative women of color but it just seems highly inappropriate, dubious, and indefensible to somehow think his opinions are represented by this character. and yes, it is a comic, I know, but it is very different from using a anthropomorphic animal character to voice whatever agenda you carry.
Hillary is not going to run again. That’s just the blowhards trying to whip up dumpy’s base. They need to have them foaming at the mouth like rabid dogs.

None of this was constructive. None of it.
Scott, ARE YOU LISTENING?

“It’s in all kinds of newspapers and magazines.” No, it’s not. Did Scott Santis have a dream or something? This is just embarrassing.
Hillary is not the one who is obsessed with the idea of Hillary running.

Our neighbors are ecstatic with anticipation! They want to write her in next week in the mid-term primaries.

She isn’t worth mentioning.
