“Blasted Crickets kept me up all night!” Tracy muttered under his breath as he stared at himself in the bathroom mirror.“Not too shabby if I say so myself!” he thought to himself as a slight grin came across his face.“Dick, breakfast is ready. Stop admiring yourself in the mirror and hurry up and come down!”One of the things he loved about Tess is how well she knew him.“Coming right down Tess.”
As he sat down at the dining room table Tracy’s thoughts began to wander to what was on the agenda for today, a day he dreaded for some time.
“Dick, I know today’s going to be tough on you but I also know you’ll be strong for everyone, that’s who you are.”Tracy just nodded his head and shrugged his shoulders, unable to forget that fateful event.Sighing, he locked sad eyes with Tess and simply said; “Why Sam, why?”
For Neil Wick, would it be possible to do a bookmarklet that will take the info from the system date and create the URL for the latest Dick Tracy strip with “?comments=visible” Before www.gocomics.com/dicktracy would bring you to the newest strip but not anymore. Generating the URL on the fly would be something nice to have, that is, if there is a way to get the system date.
Thank you for all the bookmarklets that you made available. It made life here at GoComics a lot easier.
Would be way more effective, to make sure he is a dealer, i.e. buy some drugs, then blindside him alone and dump the body where other dealers operate for a warning. But that’s just in a Marvel universe, not the real one.
Didn’t get a chance to get on line yesterday, but include me in on many of those who found the latest Minute Mystery a misfire. The narrative was slow & repetitious, & It didn’t help that the one vital “clue” was unseen by readers (reminding me of one of the chief complaints of mystery writers made by Truman Capote in the classic whodunnit spoof “Murder by Death,” RIP Neil Simon). I think “Minute Mysteries” can now be classified as a well-intention experiment that just didn’t work out in execution. Now the mystery is if we’ll ever see what Austin & Bribery tell each other at the prison.
yeah, dealing right in front of the school, where the penalties for getting caught are much harsher….and as the students get off the bus, in case the driver wants any…..and of course you whip it out and do the transaction in front of a crowd, like you’re selling popcon……could we inlect a TAD of realism, please?
Oh, what a way to start the new school year, with Your Friendly Neighborhood Drug Pusher trying to inveigle the kids. At least someone is urging him to move on….
Off this topic, reference yesterday’s and the past two week’s topic. Humorous analysis of who might have been guilty…- Not Shaky. He can’t control his aim well enough to shoot once through the heart.- Not Doubleup. Aside from his preference for using a whip, if he did use a gun he would have used two shots, not one.
Here’s a terrible drug dealer because he only thinks at his clients instead of talking to them. Maybe when the Lunarians reveal themselves he’ll do better.

Did this strip ever have a story arc about drug dealers before this one?

We’re presuming this person is a drug dealer, but if so, he’s not very good at his job.

Why is that a thought balloon in the first panel?

Is this our new “Baddie of the Month” or is he setting us up for one?

Is this supposed to be Lafayette Austin, years ago? Some kind of flashback to how he met Bribery and what’s her names mother?
