Six months’ worth of catching up to do, huh?

Wonder if this is when L and B tell Pru about the Souffle Fiasco?

Lot’s to talk about between these two. Although I hope the conversation turns to Tiffany, the Lingerie Scam and the infamous Ann Eiffel. Le$ might even show up bussing tables and “liberating” tip, too.

And if We’re not careful, We might LEARN something this week!

What’s the point of using numerical 2 in a speech bubble for Pru? Followed by the lettered ‘two’ used by Luann? Its font is even in bold just as I have displayed here.

Next time they’ll have a mustard lunch!

Clear plot device to pull together a lot of arcs so many have been complaining about and I predict a two week arc. The only real endogenous question is whether someone else, another characters, will be also involved in this arc, and if so to what extent. Exogenous events will otherwise prevail. Should be fun.

Luann can talk for days so I doubt they will close

We saw Luann hang out with Tara – and with Jack a little. It can’t have been March through September that Luann didn’t see Bernice. When did they buy the Souffle Lingerie?

It’s hard to remember that Luann & Pru live in the same house.

A lot went down in those six months ladies!!

This makes me think of the time Luann, Tiffany, and Bernice were all sitting in the dorm room laughing and having fun. Sometimes Greg lets her have something positive, but it’s not very often.

Oh, no menus. Just bring us some catchup.

Wonder if Delta will ever return? Like to see another Tara arc.

Actually, July 8 was the last time.

They close at midnite! So by Friday they will close. I wonder if Less still works there.

Well, there’s always another catchup lunch tomorrow – after which they can begin to cover April.

I hope that each day a new bunch arrive and join up with these two. Gunther and Les, Tara and Pru and Tiffany, Jack and friends . Then they can all tie up the loose ends of the arcs of the past weeks……….the lingerie scam, Les and Gunthie being roomies, Jack’s decision to pursue some kind of career dealing with animals, etc. Then we can get on with Brad and Toni and Shannon house hunting or remodelling and starting a family.

Don’t tap on the fourth wall!

Last Saturday, as Tiff was exiting the strip, I had a flashback to the Rocky and Bullwinkle show when Rocky would say “And now for something different”. I had a feeling we would be surprised – and here we are! Indeed it has been a long time since Lu and Bern chewed the fat; other that a Sunday one-off. This arc holds so much promise it hurts! My fear is that it will fizzle out as 2 (in deference to Luann1212, above) or three of the last few arcs. {I mention the “wedding,” the furniture sale, the dog park, and the Luann/Jack/Tiffany mashup.}

Ah ha! The big summit meeting between the character for whom the strip is named and the charter member of her support crew. I wonder if North Korea will be sending a representative since this meeting is sure to have world shaking events. I just hope that it doesn’t end in a new conflict.

So Like DOG said above, it will be impossible for Lu and Bern NOT to talk about the Scam, Tiffany, or even what Tiff TRIED to do with Jack last week. What would be REALLY great if Le$ overhears them while he’s bussing tables and joins the conversation.

There’s a LOT of potential here. Let’s HOPE it isn’t squandered with reminiscing talks of Aaron Hill. AGAIN.

Maybe Bernice will ask Luann what her parents did when she told them about the scam that was running at the Fuse, and what the police did when she reported it to them. “Wow, Pru, you really must have been shocked when Luann told you that the lingerie shows you had booked were a fraud, right?”

The “lot to talk about” will most certainly be on Luann’s end. What does Bernice even do when she’s not busy as Moony Uni’s resident Rules Enforcer making sure everybody’s in bed by 10? She was probably re-reading her RA manual for no reason again (no, seriously, the strip actually showed her doing that once, years after she got the position.) Real page-turner, that thing.

This BFF entrance worries me. In sitcoms it usually leads to a big falling out. And if they do go ballistic a boy will be the cause. (He will light the fuse in the Fuse).

Pru’s punchline was actually pretty funny. Nice comedic timing today. Shame that the character is so underutilized.

Please, for Pru’s sake, not a recap/retelling of everything since last March!

By the way guys you notice Luann and Bernie are wearing sweaters? This fictional universe is in Southern California? I know it gets cool at night there, but isn’t it a bit early to wear sweaters? Perhaps this is meant to be further along than a September date? Just curious.
