From the examples I’ve seen, they certainly can make keyboarding and writing into interesting finger exercises. Wonder when the first disability claim came in.
The sign on this store says “Manicures”, but most of the ones around here just say “Nails”. I remember the first couple of times I saw one and wondered how a hardware store could make a go of it with such a super-specialized inventory. Then I thot about running-shoe stores and figured maybe it was part of a trend toward boutique shops. Eventually I learned what they really were and also ran across an outfit called Fastenal that really DID specialize in particular types of hardware. Live and learn!
One place I worked we had a patient who scratched her ear and the nail came off and got stuck in her ear canal. The MD had a hard time getting it out it was wedged so tightly and those things are hard to cut with the size of scissors that will fit in your ear.
