In all reality , since it was 4th down with Milford punting the high snap was either fumbled or a rushed punt blocked by Oakwood and recovered by Oakwood , no way was it downed.Marty quickly realizes his mistake and recovers by saying Speaking of downing, How a about joining me in downing a couple of shots Jack and chasing them with Milford’s own Hoo Beer a proud sponsor of Mudlarks football .
If this is what the “good” long snapper does, what happens when the “bad” long snapper takes his place? From now on, Milford should always just go for it on fourth down. The results couldn’t be any worse.
Ahem, what did I say yesterday? The exact wording was:
P4 – “And whatever you do, don’t fumble the snap!!!”
I’m on a roll, even though Milford is not. It didn’t help that Gil was standing right next to his punter. “Don’t be nervous! Don’t be nervous! Just catch it and make solid contact! Whatever you do, don’t be nervous!”
I agree with others, that was a crappy snap by the oh so valuable long snapper. Catchable? Yes, but he’s supposed to be an all-star snapper. that was too high! Gil makes the wrong call AGAIN. Obviously Milford loses tomorrow and second place is in jeopardy.
Meanwhile , the Audio Visual guys decide to make a horror movie. The story will be abut a student who died in a tragic traffic accident comes back to Milford High to haunt it. She plays cruel tricks on students and staff ,killing some maiming others. Tiki the Torch is set afire by a faulty bunsen burner , a beloved coach dies while drinking cleaning fluid he mistakes for his coffee and the school janitor slips and falls on his over polished floors breaking his neck .You get the idea , in all reality. Shooting starts Monday.
Wait a minute, I just noticed. Where the hell are Gil and the punter standing? They are really far from the stands and they are as high as the pressbox! The punter will never make it to the field on time. The added delay of game penalty didn’t make it any easier, and he probably was out of breath.

Looks like too high a snap and is not the kicker’s fault. What do you guys think? I think it should be right at his number on his jersey.

Maybe Sam is sabotaging Freddy to get the punting job back.

He could “just make solid contact” and kick the ball 50 yards straight up.

P1, Oh, you mean like you do with the loofah, Coach?
P2, Or maybe just catch it first.
P3, Marty, drunkenly trying to operate the computer from the side, sippy cup at the ready.

He said don’t worry about distance, not “don’t worry about catching it”

Petulant punter perturbed by pesky pre-punt pep talk from prep coach. Purposely prepares plan to permit pigskin to pass by personal space.

Don’t discount the possibility of a valiant goal line stand by Milford’s fired-up defense.Oh what the hell. Go ahead and discount it.

P3- Good to see the Tinderbox hasn’t been refurbed, plus Moon was able to find his signature sippy cup.
