Even I one tried a pizza with only ONE anchovy ordered on it. That was only the second unappetizing ingredient. What was the first unappetizing ingredient? Gorgonzola cheese.
I arrived in Japan about two months before my wife. I was out and eating all kinds of things not knowing what they were. Then when my wife got there, she learned the local cooking. I told her that I still did not want to know and that she should refrain from preparing anything with eyeballs or tentacles.
She has 3 thin, relatively active children who eat like they’re starving several times a day, and she not only doesn’t take them to the doctor to get their metabolism checked (thyroid disease is serious), she tries to cut their caloric intake when they aren’t overweight or gaining. In real life, this is grounds for calling children’s services. Growing children need calories in sufficient quantity.
My mother came to live with us for about a year (many years ago) and she is, or was before she moved in, quite the picky eater. She didn’t cook, but had no problem telling me how much she disliked whatever I had planned for dinner. I greatly enjoyed making things she “hated” only to tell her after her second or third helping, what she was actually eating. Deer meat is one thing that stands out in memory. I made it to look like beef in a meat sauce for pasta one night, chicken fried steak another night, and after the 3rd night of me asking, “How is it?” with her replying, “Pretty good,” she finally had to admit that the reason she didn’t like a lot of foods was all in the way it was made. My mother is now more adventurous in trying new foods. Who says you can’t like new things when you get older?!
nonfat cheese? I hear when they remove the fat from products they compensate the loss in flavor by adding extra sugar, making it even more fattening then it would have been in the first place. Also doesn’t he have some kind of freaky speedster metabolism where if he doesn’t eat like 5000 calories a day he starves to death or something?
No fat cheese is by definition not cheese. Low sodium tomato sauce is ok depending on the context. And you would definitely notice tofu trying to be pepperoni due to the difference in texture.

That kind of cooking should be illegal, on ground of excessive cruelty

It would be better used as a brick in a wall. I guess Peter won’t be getting any pudding tonight.

Bah, humbug; she should be boiled in her own pizza pan and buried with a slice of pepperoni through her heart…

It sounds to me she made a TASTY healthy meal. If more of her meals were like this maybe she’d get them to cooperate.
