So now along with being lost and trapped with only a ghostly (albeit clever) cat, Poor Pucky missed his breakfast!

The club was now empty save for a silver tabby who was pacing at the back exit, two Tuxedos face to face, and a large figure who stood silently in a dark corner. “What now, My dear Miss Katz?” Megan looked quickly at Tre-C, then back to Mr. Nibbles. “You know what comes next.” “The Enforcers? Oh, no- I do not do well locked up; that’s why I escaped from my people in the first place. No, this is where we must part ways…” “I’m afraid I can’t let you do that, Nibbles” Megan said, as she stepped towards bow-tied feline. “I’m afraid you don’t have a choice..” Nibbles replied, then reached behind his back to produce a set of earplugs and a matt black electronic device. Quickly putting the earplugs in, Nibbles switched the power on and Megan immediately dropped to her tummy with her paws over her ears. Tre-C, too, felt the immobilizing sonic effects and curled up in a ball with head covered.. “I made a small modification to it. Do you think it would keep you off the old woman’s sofa?” Then the bad, bad cat laughed, walked up to Megan and bent down to lay the device alongside her torso. “Please accept my apologies in advance for any long term damage this may cause to your no-doubt finely tuned hearing ..”

It looks as though both Lupin and Elvis have only just woken up. And they have both missed breakfast. Oh, the horror! Now they are all doomed.

DUN DUN DUNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So it was up to Buzzy Mouse to inform the Boys! Tut tut Tillie—all because you had to go mess with alpha female Tabitha and are clearly caught up in an argument (probably a one-sided one from the sounds of it). Glad Pucky’s note also helped to do the trick. Now they know something’s gone terribly wrong—Puck missed BREAKFAST. NO cat well in body and in mind (Puck is both) misses breakfast! ♥ Think of me today folks . . I have an ultrasound at the hospital later this afternoon. I loathe hospitals . . :( It’s bladder issues . . my GP doesn’t want to take any chances on me since my dad just died of bladder cancer and bladder seems not be in the best shape, so . . . not going to go into detail, just know I need your purrs and really really hope they don’t find anything out of the ordinary. Also, I have to fast for six hours prior to the procedure so if I’m a bit testy today, that’s why. :( ((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((all))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Sounds like Tillie is beating up Tabitha for being so rude. And Tabitha can’t lay paws on her.

Well, at least Lupin and Elvis finally know Puck’s in trouble. Now they just need Tillie to come back and lead them to him.

7 am? How many hours are we talking about? Since my cat usually wants it by 5 or 6 am. Even if those hours don´t exist around here.

Good morning and happy Tuesday/Mewsday, orbsters and orbabies.

I love the look of horror in the last panel and its reason – not that Puck is missing, but that BREAKFAST WAS HOURS AGO!

Now are they going to do a Laurel and Hardy period of running around aimlessly bumping into each other and Buzzy before they pull it together and actually think?

Lest we forget one time the Woman and Man slept in till 7:30 a.m. and breakfast was late. As Elvis reported, that “These maniacs are out of control!” Nothing tells time like a kitty tummy. The cats that own us, Giblet and Joel Grey will pat your face until breakfast is forthcoming.

Elvis and Lupin will be looking for their friend right away!

I wonder if “cat time” is different from human time. Lupin and Elvis both exclaim that breakfast was “hours ago”, but does that mean they were fed at 4a, or does it mean that they were fed 15 or so minutes ago, and in cat time, it’s been several hours?

My poor Woman. I actually woke her up this morning laughing at this one. This was aided and abetted by the fact that Maverick and Ember were quite upset that it was already 7:30 AM and they hadn’t yet been fed … usually they get fed around 7:15ish.

On an unrelated note, I am deeply humbled and grateful for all your kind words and support yesterday. I’m feeling nominally better today, and my PCP has suggested that it might be time to invoke the plan we’ve discussed previously: reaching out to a pain-management specialist. I’ll be making that call later this morning.

So are The People late with breakfast, or, more likely, they are about to serve breakfast one minute late. Hmmm. They’ll notice Puck is missing but they’ll search in all the wrong places (the logical places).

Yesterday a house burnt down on my street. Luckily, no one was injured, although a number of people in the over-occupied house lost everything. But the thing that has been tearing me up is that two cats died. One of them, the one that I know, was just visiting his pal. It’s hard to get the image of these two kitties, frantic to escape, out of my mind. I keep giving Cricket and Bill enormous hugs, thankful that we are all okay.

…well, I’m glad to see that puck left a note, including his expected time of return, but he should have indicated his route. Too many hikers go out without letting anybody know where, and when they should be expected back…

No it’s not a ghost that gets their attention. It’s being absent from breakfast. Cat mentality at its best.
