my mom went for radiation treatments awhile back. The waiting room had puzzles that stayed on the table for all to do. It was half finished when we started visiting and we were able to finish it and start another by the time treatments were done. It made the visit more pleasurable.
Our family LOVES jigsaw puzzles. We all work on them, then we donate them (provided they have all their pieces) to senior citizen establishments – group homes, nursing homes, etc. It is amazing how, even those whose memory is going/gone, still can do jigsaw puzzles. :o)
Back when I was married, this was our favorite New Year’s activity. A spread of tasty finger foods, some wine, and a 1,000 piece puzzle. Sometimes we’d actually stay up past Midnite.
Many happy hours putting puzzles together with my mom and sisters. After the holidays were over in January we would spend Sunday afternoons doing them. I always liked to do the sky.

A masterpiece that encourages quality time with the family is worth far more paints on canvas.

A Norman Rockwell is considered a masterpiece? I thought I was the only one who thinks so.

My mom’s church has a regular Thursday “lunch bunch,” & there’s always a puzzle in progress for anyone who arrives early.
