Prefer a full keyboard must be why I don’t text. Also prefer a large screen(laptop) vs a little screen(smartphone). Wonder if anyone did a study to find out if people are hurting their eyes by looking at the small print.
When I absolutely, positively have to text, I use my pen that has a rubber, eraser-like tip that’s the same size as the text buttons. Less chance of hitting the wrong key, since my fingers are at least three times larger.

Hey, I text with one finger!

it takes skill to text with either one or both thumbs
wiatr about 6 years ago
That’s almost the way I type. I use two. It’s much faster if I don’t try to involve those klutzes downhand of the pointers.

How do you text on a phone with more than one finger? Do you take turns?
david_42 about 6 years ago
Even more fun when you have to hit the same button five times for a number. No ads on flip-phones, though.

And using a flip-phone.

We used to “text” with two fingers. We called it “typing”. I’m amazed it has become the “in” thing again.

I do mostly one-finger texting because my big fat thumbs always hit the wrong key.

even worse, when you are texting with a stylus because you do not want finger smudges on your screen.

Who can touch-type? 1 pointer finger or a stylus – is my speed. Don’t text that often and usually only 1 or 2 words at that.

I can type fast on my laptop, but almost as fast one fingered on my phone. Love texting over phone calls. And I’m very much an old plugger!
