Mrs. Olsen is getting wise to his tricks.

But Caulfield’s conclusion just proved he did get zero back.

The parallel Caulfield is trying to draw between fraction math and flying fish is pretty goofy. I don’t get it anyways. I think Mrs. Olsen is a pretty good sport not pointing it out too harshly.

I love Ms. Olsen’s answer, its nice to see her take on Caufield at his own game.

You don’t have to wade to where the flying fish fly. That’s what they make boats for. You can even fish for any fish with a fly.

I’m not sure that shark flyfishing will catch on, though… And you can always divide a fraction by itself and get one… 8^)

He was bested by his own rules of rational or hoisted by his own petard.

Nature abhors a vacuum, and math doesn’t seem to especially like zero. I get that, but can I explain it? As the saying goes,

I got nothin’.

Caulfield, that = 1
