Coach Redmond looks comfortable with a can of beer at his desk, but isn’t it a little early? And I have to say, all these coaches have offices that look like palaces compared to the windowless holes our coaches had. And the building was new back when I was in high school.

I’ve been critical of the artwork in this strip but I have to say it’s a step or two above sketches.

In all reality , those sketchy characters that Tiki was seen hanging around with are his family which has been relocated in the Witness Protection Program .

Why are Kaz and Gil walking down the hall each with a hand towel hanging out of their pockets , in all reality ?

I think Rubin is intentionally breaking the 4th wall here. I like it.

And, judging from the size of his paws and mitts (dwarfing the tall boy of Olde English 880), Coach R must have been a dominant shower presence.

Also, good to see the residents of Tate’s Creek approved the referendum that allowed spruced up coaching offices. I understand that Karl Farbman had the contract for the furnishings.

P1, Truth is, I didn’t recognize him when we played at your place. He was actually a good player here.

P2, But everyone knew him as Nancy.

I like where Chip and CJ are going with Coach Redmond. That is no can of Hoo, that’s for the kids. Since The ‘larks recently played Tates Creek, the Commodores coach sent a six pack of Falls City tall boys to New Thayer’s Redmond in appreciation for game tape on Milford.

I miss Mimi. Did she retire? Leave Gil and head South with Pedro to start a new life? Without HooDad, it’s more difficult to keep up with these character held hostage time horizons.

Considering the kids are wearing helmets, how would he recognize him anyway? And what’s the deal with P3? Is Rubham taking a preemptive strike, writing a comeback that normally would appear in MUT?

Ellis, you and kdizzle consistently give us the best zingers on a daily basis. But, GilPa gives a golden nugget in P3. Laff O’ the Day nominee.

If this pattern follows last year’s, the NFL playoffs will be into the second round by the time these stories conclude.

My old HS’s season ending game was last Friday. I don’t think the ‘playdowns’ start this week in NC though because of Hurricane Florence messing stuff up back in September. At least I think I recall reading somewhere the playoffs would have to be moved back so some make up games could be worked in.
