Sunrises, sunsets, clouds scuttling across the sky, birds singing and flittering about, fellow human and canine walkers….all stored away for thinking about when the weather is prohibitive for being outdoors…“And I said to myself, what a wonderful world!”.
I remember how exhilarating it was to run in the morning, my doctor told me that’s the best time physically. Once I got moving it was great, then at work, by noon I felt like I had spent 2 days already, in a good way, like….2 days for 1.
I lean toward the morning sun confused her sense of direction. The sun being East instead of West threw off the unconscious cues she used to navigate, so she felt she was heading home, but was actually heading away. Early morning makes everything look different too.
For me, this has been the most funny A&J in a few weeks! I thought Janis having her routine so ingrained that the sun low on the horizon initiated her early evening walking pattern to walk until the sun set (which is doesn’t at sunrise…. hence the joke)… was quite cute and funny!

I bet she walked east instead of west and got slightly confused and refuses to admit it.

Opposed to setting like when she usually walks in the evening…

Maybe she watched the sun waiting for it to set, and waited, and waited.

I stayed up all night wondering where the sun had gone. Finally it dawned on me.

You missed the point folks. She hadn’t been seeing the sunrise for a time due to daylight savings time. This was her 1st sojourn since the change.

Here in Michigan, we’ve gotten only an occasional glimpse of the sun between rain showers for nearly two weeks.
