My dogs may not be the best storytellers, but over the years they have been magnificent support and company when I’ve been ill.

Once upon a time, there was a dog txt made its owner feel loved and better. The end.

Some of my cats have been great sickbed companions.

It’s best to not remember some things.

I sneezed a sneeze,a sneeze I snoze,ad blew by tearide up by doze.

And you remember the pitiful voice to use in the phone call, just to really sell it.

It would freak me out if someone sat by my bed … I live on my own!

Notice how her voice cleared right up after she gave her excuse for not coming to work.

Love the ‘what are you looking at me for’ expression on ’Farley’s’ muzzle ! ! ! ! !

If Farley was Scoobie Doo, he would talk.

No one stays home with ANY sickness any more.They bring it to work,church,or school so ALL can enjoy it.

My Mom would bring me tea and buttered toast. Good memory.

I hate getting sick for just that reason.

I hate being alone when I’m sick.

Having Sweetheart around is a comfort, but she can’t call 911.

Farley is probably there because he didn’t get fed by John or the kids.

Plain hot lemon? No tea with a little honey with that lemon? Ick.

The caretaker’s lament.

When I am sick I don’t want anyone but my cat or dog. Same for the (fortunately) few times I have been in the hospital. I don’t want visitors, so sometimes I don’t tell anyone I’m there until I’ve been discharged.

yes, visitors wear you out in the hospital as you feel you must entertain them.

Fresh ginger root is the secret cold remedy in our house…

It can be chewed raw or steeped in hot water to make tea…to clear out the sinuses and to heat up your chest….

BTW, if you are chewing it raw for the very first time: start with a very tiny quantity, since it is a hot root, like horseradish…

Actually, Farley would have known a lot of good stories. It’s just that he might not have been able to tell them in a way that we would have preferred.

Farley only knows shaggy dog stories…
