Never let homework interfere with your education – this was my motto in school… I’m lucky I managed to get through!

That’s only if you ever get maturity, Calvin! Trust me, it doesn’t happen for everybody! For proof, just read the comment section of any political or sports story on the internet!

Maturity is forever? I dispute that with a quick reading from (anti)social media

One would have thought that ‘Calvin’ would have learned a little maturity from previous trips down the sledding hill with ’ Hobbes’ when they ended up blanketed in snow ! ! ! !

I’m 68 and still waiting for maturity to kick in. Just ask my wife…

Calvin’s parents need to put one of those tracking devices on his leg that people in house arrest have to wear.

Growing older is mandatory. Growing up is optional. I opted out.

A good friend of mine recently celebrated his 83rd birthday wearing a tee-shirt which read, “Growing old is inevitable. Growing up is optional.” At his birthday dinner someone said to him, “Getting old sucks, doesn’t it?” My friend thought for a moment, then with a twinkle in his eye, replied, “No, no. Being old sucks. Getting old was fun!” I have often said that his reply might be the most profound statement I’ve ever heard.

Maturity is forever? Not for some of us!!!! Go for it Guys!

When people ask me where I grew up my reply is, “I grew large in Binghamton, NY.” .

Unless you are the president.

But then, there is something to be said for delayed gratification…

When I graduated from school and talked about getting a job, my mom told me to enjoy my freedom as soon enough the real world would be out there waiting for me.

Looking around I believe maturity has a much shorter span than childhood…

Calvin has a point. Those childhood years only come around once. (Unless you are a 72 yr.-old, 350 lb. irritant.)

I tell people, “I was born in Amherst (OH), I was raised in Lorain, I live in Elyria, and where I grow up remains to be seen.”
