Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
I see that we are presented with a wall of text reminding us where we left off two weeks ago. I think we need it, but I find it odd for it to be coming from Dick Tracy’s wrist.
Anyway, I wonder how Zelda and Vitamin know each other.
Over the last few years, we’ve seen some sly references to the DC “Batman” universe, and I think that Kandikane, by virtue of her name, could be another one.
We are generously reminded of where we are in panel 1 by Omniscient Narrator. Then, Zelda shows up at the Patterson Playhouse and latches on to Vitamin, an old “acquaintance” in some fashion; much to the consternation of Kandikane Lane (soon, we are led to expect, to become Mrs. Flintheart). Will Zelda be sticking to Vitamin and attract Splitface to “A Chin to Die For,” making the musical’s title more ominous? Could Kandikane become a victim and yet another lost love for the Old Thespian?

“Zelda The Great” I have heard of her before. In the Batman tv show she was evil. Here she is good?

You know, for an older guy, he sure is a “chick magnet.”

split face has spent the last 2 weeks at the DMV getting a new licence pic and two weeks of him on line would have been boring

Does Vitamin have an entourage of young chicks at his disposal?
What do they see in that old fart?
Zelda might have two people who want her dead!

Kandikane = Kathy Kane (the original Batwoman).

Zelda looks fabulous and Kandi looks a little jealous! And Vitamin looks perplexed!

I think Haf and Haf will have competition with Kandy Kane when it comes to getting rid of Zelda.

That first panel is ingenious. Naked exposition was never so cool looking!
