What if you have 24-hour fat moods?

I love her expression in panel #2. Actually, that’s the perfect mood for clothes shopping. It makes you more critical of the offerings and when you DO find something that seems acceptable, then it will be a keeper. :)

Never shop for beer when you’re feeling down.

I never liked how Lynn described Elly as fat when she’s perfectly skinny with a normal stomach.

Crazy how people who are not big (I hear you can’t say “fat” anymore) obsess over being big, while a lot of people who are big are entirely comfortable with who they are.

Conversely, when you have lost some weight and feel skinny, you think everything looks great and buy too much. Sometimes even buying things you can “just so” fit into, thinking you will lose more. But then you DON’T. In fact, some weight comes BACK and your “skinny clothes” sit in the closet, hoping for better days. We’ve all been there. LOL.

If you are in a fat mood when you go shopping is there a chance you will buy fewer cloths? Maybe.

True that.

Lynn’s Comments:

I have been in a fat mood since 2009…but I still find myself buying clothes. I guess it’s in the blood…like carbs and cholesterol.

In panel 2, you can see how much Michael looks like his mother.

Here we go again, another strip of “Elly vs. Belly”.

Greater love hath no man than he who accompanies his wife clothes shopping – particularly when she’s in a “Fat Mood” !

If she stood up straight that would help.

Maybe if she didn’t slouch, and actually used proper posture, she would look a lot better!

And she is anything but “fat”.

I cut this out of the newspaper years ago and put it on my refrigerator. It’s still there. It’s funny because it’s true. :D
