@EcurbYkspohs My spouse asked me to purchase some forever stamps before the price went up, but I refused. I have only used one stamp since then. Online banking is great.
I have several hundred Forever stamps left over from a club I used to do mailings for. Like checks, stamps are mostly used dealing with small companies necessary for the home owner. Also, our main bank insists on hardcopy, signed and sealed, for many processes.
Since they are probably forever stamps- why use them up? I keep them for the next year & before the last price increase I bought a few years supply. I have a small set of other stamps for the few things I do need to mail & they do last forever.
I’m a retired postal worker and for those people who worry that stamps can become expired because their old, back when stamps had prices on them I would see envelopes with 20 o 40 year old stamps on them, mostly from stamp selling companies. The stores that sold collectable stamps would buy stamps in bulk and the stamps that were too available were only worth the amounts printed on them. There was a scandal involving the Simpsons stamps that were some of the last stamps with prices printed on them. the Post Office printed a lot more stamps than the public wanted and they were for an odd amount, 44 cents, so most people didn’t want to use them to put on parcels as regular stamps and the Post Office was left with thousands of unused stamps.

Has anyone else noticed that every birthday card seems to require additional postage? Even if the card itself doesn’t, then adding a gift card will.
