In other Nancy news, the Tampa Bay Times reports that the rather good Sherman’s Lagoon will replace the probably better Non Sequitur after a reader vote, with temporary replacement Nancy coming … last, just behind the uncommitteds. Ouch.

I’ll let someone else make the Florida Man jokes.

This is great AND informative AND timely! I’m meeting a friend for lunch. He’s an historian, specialising in world war II. I’ll have to find a way to sneak this fact into our conversation. He’ll be impressed, I’m sure!

I remember my uncles telling me about rock shortages during the war. So our family moved to the Ozarks….

This strip seems like more than an April 1st gag. It also feels like a little love letter to her readers.

And in a more serious note, a real shortage is happening in Washington DC right now. Reproducing all of those redacted documents, with words, lines, even entire pages blacked out, has seriously depleted the supply of black printer ink, both refill bottles and cartridges.

I love this strip, and I don’t care who knows it.

Those groupings of rocks look a little like artist’s misconceptions of what inflatable colonies would look like on the moon, or mars.
