If Nelson can do that while not standing on Earth, he’ll be able to move the whole Earth. If he ever becomes an astronaut, he should try that — Grab a giant dandelion while floating in space.
The world may have been holding on to it but gravity is actually very weak. Take a look at a refrigerator magnet. The magnetic force of that little piece of metal is stronger than the gravitational force of the entire planet.
Grandpa’s.. are supposed to be impressed by “muscle”.. and should not be calling it puny. Young boys have enough doubt about their bodies without some one they respect demeaning them.
I was reading a quote today from Oliver Sacks’ posthumously published book that described his patients who’d had advanced dementia: how the best medicine was to take them out into a garden, and if you handed them seedlings to plant, not a single one ever tried to plant one upside down. It was so innate to their very being. They knew!

I guess Nelson’s got a point there.

Did he pull out the roots as well? Otherwise, it’ll grow back and Nelson will have to do it all over again!

Now try that with a cats-claw vine. And no fair if you break off the root.

He could save NASA a ton of money if he can teach them how to get the earth to let go of their rockets!

We need more science dreamers to invent the impossible. Those days for me are past, but I still love science-fiction if it’s 5-star.
