I know an owl is stealthy, but RIGHT NEXT to Murphy?!?

Likely Owl was there first. Murphy saw only the (walnut) moon and had only tunnel vision from then on.

Owl probably just ate. Doesn’t need a snack just now.

So Owl, are you saying he’s nuts?

No self-respecting owl would eat a squirrel.

Careful little squirrel, your fence partner is liable to eat you!

And owls have one thing on their mind. Food and that includes poetic squirrels.

Squirrel Poets become Owl Dinners as soon as they stop reciting their Poems.

Owls are Polite that way. They never Interrupt a Poet reciting a verse.

Which is why so many Squirrel Poems have turned into Epics to rival Ulysses.
