One of the downsides of being a stay at home parent is that you end up talking to yourself — a lot!

And she’s off ladies and gentlemen!

Let’s say for a moment that car in the ditch isn’t of Calvin’s family. How WOULD anybody get into a car accident in that position (hood/bonnet facing outward) if not rolled out of the garage?

I’d like to think that she’s running because she’s worried whether Calvin is okay. But probably not… or not entirely.

Calvin, you are doomed. Punishment 1st, explanation 2nd, love and caring 3rd.

That horrible sinking feeling that comes with realisation …..

Uh oh. We have ignition and liftoff!

ten…nine…eight…

BOOM!

Realisation dawns…

I guess some parents experience a little brain fade.

“Calling all cars. Be on the lookout for a 6-year-old boy with a stuffed tiger. Approach with caution. Although unarmed, he is delusional.”

ohhhh youre in trouble now Calvin!!!

Be afraid, Calvin, be VERY AFRAID!!!!!

Here comes trouble….

She’s done the math. Calvin is doomed!

Mom’s a little slower than usual. She should have known when sandwiches were made.

Dowe, Cheethem and How Insurance Company, “Sorry mam, it’s in your contract, we don’t pay when you fail to heed a recall notice.” (Yes folks, unfortunately his folks ignored the recall on their sweet little boy.)

Annnnnd the plot thickens….

Watterson demonstrates his genius showing a mom who is angry but worried.

I did something similar to Calvin, although slightly different circumstances and as a teenager. Our driveway was on an angle and I thought I had engaged the parking brake. Nope. I looked out later and my once parked car had re-homed itself in the garden. It miraculously kept the wheels perfectly in line with the rows and didn’t run over anything that could cause damage to car or garden. I was still a little afraid to move it so I waited until the parental units got home to help. They drove up the driveway and did a most classic double take when they saw the car. They saw the humour in it…after awhile, LOL!

This comic ended because the mom died of a heart attack and the father went insane.

i hope Calvin’s parents have AAA, for the towing bill!

Now would be a good time for Calvin to make it to Timbuktu!!!

Uh, oh! Calvin’s been had.

And Mom sets a new world record for the 100 yard dash.

And it’s about to hit the fan.
