I was thinking just the other day that it’s been several decades since I’ve seen a “Mad”. I think I’ll stop by the Barnes & Noble and pick one up. (Yes, that’s right, there is still a book store in my neighborhood.)
Love the fact that I could identify both that it was Don Martin style artwork from MAD magazine and that I could still tell they were Roy and Jay. Very well done. Love it when you pay tribute to other classic cartoon styles.
Love the tribute. I think the only one of the original gang of idiots left is Al Jaffee. At age 98 he’s STILL doing the fold-ins. He is quoted as saying “Serious people my age are dead!”

Panel two should have had lots of funny sounding button-pushing SFX.

I always loved the “Gad, He’s been runover by a steamroller” gags.

I feel sorry for all the kids who will be going “Why’s the strip drawn so weird today?”

Looks like Roy gained his weight back when drawn in Don Martin style.

I miss MAD’s publisher, Bill Gaines…..no ads, no biases…everyone and everything was fair game.

Check the bottom again. That should have knocked loose the stuck ZAGNUT bar.

Interesting office. Now I’m wondering what that combo would deliver from the men’s room vending machine…
