OT: Nushi – I appreciate every single comment, boop, prayer and vibe sent my way and I know some are going to disagree with my decision, but I made contact, got in touch with the expert in the field, and have decided to try the treatment on Nushi. It should be here by by 3pm tomorrow. I got enough for 2 weeks of treatment, which should give her time to respond if she’s going to. Some cat families have had their fur babies go from severe ataxia with seizures, to walking and eating after 2 treatments. I’m not expecting that, but I’m hoping for something similar. If she responds after 2 weeks, I will continue the full treatment of 12 weeks, which should cost between 5-6k instead of what I thought. If she doesn’t respond, I’m out $800. It’s worth the try to me.
I know I could take that money and use it for other things, other fur babies, debt, but I’ve just can’t take losing her without a fight right now and I don’t think I would ever forgive myself. I appreciate everyone giving me a way to feel ok about not fighting, I would have found that very comforting…but I just can’t. This new medicine can make an amazing difference in a very short period of time, and can actually cure FIP. I’ll put a link to the study below and of course, I’ll keep you posted.

Good morning Orbsters. We’ve made it past Monday. Hope Tuesday is a day for more optimism, better decisions, happier attitudes, and just all-around goodness for all!
Oh, I do hope they let Beatrix and Elvis say good bye to each other! Although Beatrix couldn’t wish for a better forever home, if she can’t stay in the Big Pink House.
Beatrix simply says she’s acquainted with the criminals. That doesn’t mean that she is on friendly terms with them, just that she knows who they are. Any trouble, and she can round up the usual suspects straight away.
I missed the mugs. Thanks for pointing them out. 2 of my all time favorites. Saw Prince 6 times & have a B & W print of Bowie in full makeup playing a chello. My love for BCN just doubled!!
Beatrix looks to be a career-minded young cat. She seems excited about this possibility – just think, more responsibilities and challenges, loads of stuff to organize, many friends to make… (Pretty soon, she’s going to need an assistant of her own.)
Larry, Mouser and Greeter in Chief at British Prime Minister Theresa May’s Downing Street residence, evaded the Secret Service and may have delayed President Trump’s motorcade on Tuesday. Larry took shelter under Trump’s vehicle during the president’s meeting with May in the morning, according to media people at the scene.

I am now a foster daddy to a sweet little black kitty.
It was never my intention to try a cat with Sweetheart, but things happen.
It’s the little kitty that my friend tried to introduce to her wild-child cat. That didn’t work, so the next plan was to try her with a client that recently lost her cuddle-buddy. Key-key is sweet, but way shy, not a cuddler.
So, i brought her home.
She is in the back bedroom. I cleaned out most of the clutter, but not all of it, and made sure that there are a number of hide-y-holes. I have a bunch of moms throw pillows (that i couldn’t make myself give away) of moms, and i made a pillow fort on top of the bed (in a corner) for her.
She found it. :D
It’s kinda funny looking into the “door” and seeing a couple of bright green eyes staring out of the dark at you. :)
My son is still in the hospital. He called this morning to have me bring his insulin so he could switch to his insulin pump. The bone doctor stopped by and removed his dressing and got him started on therapy for his shoulder. He might get out tonight or tomorrow.
Yesterday was killer. I bought a small trailer 2 Saturdays ago to transport my electric wheelchairs. When I took possession last Tuesday I towed it home and started making the modifications it needed. I designed a pair of ramps out of 7 foot 2×12s with a wheel on the edge at one end and a handle on the other edge at the other end so we can just roll them in and out of the trailer and don’t have to actually lift them. Then on Friday I went across town to Lowe’s to get a trailer hitch extender to raise the front of the trailer and lower the back a few inches to make loading wheelchairs easier.
That’s when we discovered that the trailer lights weren’t working. Yesterday, after all the doctor visits (everyone got in on time, yay! Thanks for the boops!) I took it back to the trailer place and they tried to get the lights working. And they were able to get all the lights working… except the brake lights. They tried everything they could and finally determined that the problem was with my car. So I went back to the VW place and they checked everything and concluded that since my car had a 7 pin connector that the trailer also had to have a 7 pin connector instead of the 4 pin. So I went back to the trailer place and talked to them. They tried several things that still didn’t work and even hooked my car up to a different trailer with a factory installed 7 pin conductor. Sure enough, that trailer had all the lights working except the brake lights. So the trouble has to be with my VW. When I took it back to the VW place this morning they said it couldn’t possibly be something wrong with my car. It has to be the trailer. They did offer to look at it again tomorrow. We’ll see.
I don’t comment here often, but… I just had a pretty major surgery this morning, and am spending the night in the hospital, away from my kitties and guinea pigs and husband, and I could use some hugs.
:* Today comes the day that we all know will come; the day that we pay the price for unending, unstinting, unquestioning love. Conan gave it his best fight and he has been a trooper through everything, but today he let us know that it was time to let him rest. He’s been feeling badly this weekend, so we’ve been worried, but the blood work today showed that his liver was starting to shut down. At that point, we knew we had to let him go to his rest now, before he went any farther down hill. We made sure to let all of the staff at the clinic this afternoon say their goodbyes (he has been going to day boarding for nearly 10 years, after all) and we told him what a good boy he has always been. Nick and I were with him the entire time, stroking his head and wetting his soft fur with our tears. Rest in peace, my best boy. You touched more lives than you could imagine and we send bits of our hearts with you to heaven. If only their forever was long enough to match ours.
