Either their shadows have escaped like in Peter Pan, or they’ve become demons.

Let’s see, when was the last time we would have been able to tell?

Yesterday, all right, how about before it took effect?

Near the end of last month.

By having no shadows, Phoebe and Marigold should hang out with Peter Pan.

It’s a bit tricky to know the difference in a caricatured, line drawn strip, that rarely bothers with shadows anyway.

If there are no shadows, does that mean that the sun is visible through her phone, and anything solid?

They’re not going to end up fighting their shadows like Link from “Zelda” sometimes does, are they?

No shadow? They call that “haze” (if not smog-derived).

NOOOOOO!!!! Shadows are awesome!

Could’ve been worse, at least she doesn’t have two shadows.

Phoebe IS a unicorn at heart, so I’m not surprised. We shall see if she can make a selfie to find out if they have become vampires.

I love how this idea plays with magic, and the humor derives from the character’s specific personalities.

What is it that follows you everywhere, hides when it’s dark, and shrinks to nothing at noon?

With an overcast sky shadows mostly disappear. Become weak and fuzzy around the edges.
