I’ve always had serious misgivings about having people who think they know what their doing spend my money (i.e. taxes) without giving it much thought.
My Uncle Ezra, when commenting on politics, often — with specs propped on forehead — opined in his wonderfully inflected Hoosier patois: “Now ‘em-air pol’teeshns is only a-goin’ up-air t’ Warsht’n t’ git t’er britchiz filt up. Ef’n they wudn’t crooked when they went in, by Gawd, they’z crooked when they git out!” He wasn’t talking about “britchiz filt up” with s*** and onions, either.
Because he thought he spotted a potential supporter and could offer to put us further in debt by promising goods and services we can’t afford…(sorry; morning rant time is over now)
Why did the politician have an Olympic sized swimming pool built on his twenty acre estate, using Tax Payer funds? Quote the politician: “I needed it!”.
