“I” has been unleashed….the thin veil that held it back is torn open…..can the Red Tidal Wave be stopped??? (Refer to Wally on his balloon float…..watches Erin Marx lead a doomed charge into an ocean of Red.)
Like a ravenous wolf amongst sheep, this dark entity comes to destroy & devour those in Eden. It manifested itself in Endtown with the spate of cannibalism there & through Jim in the Unity thread. Unless there’s a way & means to stave off this horror, Eden too shall fall to its ravaging rampage.
Oh look, that dream from the beginning about the gingerbread folks was foreshadowing. I look forward to the day when dreams are just dreams. The horror of normality! Oooooooo!
Okay, how does he do it? As of this morning, 08-Jun-19, there was still no cartoon for 07-Jun-19. Now, here it is! Almost as weird as the plot lines, don’t you think?
If this is the same I that burned down Unity, that is still unsatisfying. Jim was an outsider. As a topsider, he exhibited many good traits, not the least of which was sacrificing life as a human so he could be with his beloved Sarah.
_Why was the _good Jimused as the monster and not the treacherous Sarah?
For that matter, what role has Holly in this saga? While currently written out of the story, she was at the center of the Unity story.
“I”—the Inferno…the Feaster in the Dark. Hmmm. According to one source (the Fitz A.I.) “our” Endtown is a continuum surrounded by several alternate realities that are all dead. And, this continuum should also be dead; but it isn’t. Did “I the I” arrange this so it would have a place filled with lives to feed on? Did something else save this continuum, and then “I the I” found it? Or is it always just outside of all continuum’s, but can slip into one if it finds a crack? Did it create Eden…or just find it and infect it? Oh…this is going to be another wild, creepy ride. I am going to enjoy this.
I am going to provide a scenario taken from Barry J. Hutchison’s “Space Team” series. In one book, he heroic crew fights an entity from outside the multiverses. In a simplistic view, place all the multiverse earths on a grid. One way of crossing the multiverse earths is vertical, and another way of crossing the multiverses is horizontal. There is also the third direction out and in, but I’ll avoid it for now.
When it was explained in the Fitzgerald arc, the only multiverse earth for several multiverse earths that had life was the one we were reading (https://www.gocomics.com/endtown/2016/09/16?ct=v&cti=1608910). However, When Aaron Marx was explaining his interdimensional travel to Professor Mallard (https://www.gocomics.com/endtown/2012/08/13?ct=v&cti=1608910), he stated there were several Endtowns and ours was the one he chose to intervene to protect. That would indicate there are several earths with life.
Now if the Lucranians are able to travel across dimensions, perhaps it is in only in one direction (I’ll pick horizontal for argument’s sake), while Aaron is able to travel the other direction (vertical in this instance). There have been reader discussions through the years about whether Aaron moved Holly, Wally, Linda and Petey through to another Endtown when he saved them from the Topsiders and appeared in Endtown just by going through a portal he created. That was possible, but not necessary. The interdimensional existence of another Endtown there survivors exist was shown in the second cartoon I referenced when the gum was produced.
That would provide how the Lucranians would be truthful about only one earth having life and there being multiple Endtowns with survivors.
Ok, I’ll throw this out here as I haven’t seen anyone else mention it…Ravencroft is able to see this entity, and I am assuming that Wallys unconscious entity is what Ravencroft is seeing? So, are Wally and Ravencroft somehow connected through time? It just seems strange that Wally “produced” this I and Ravencroft “sees” it?
ok … so the invisible “topsider” is actually saving them? And it definately explains why they aren´t allowed to work harder and more efficient, since it doesn´t matter.
Here’s a fun little tidbit about those goggles: https://www.gocomics.com/endtown/2012/08/28?ct=v&cti=1608910
Even 7 years ago, Neathery was prepping their use to see the “other side.” Maybe it was a digital projection and he altered it, maybe it was always intended as a lie to the topsiders and they were ACTUALLY seeing their still-human forms.

The smell of god up close and personal will ruffle a few feathers, eh?
So, people who are exposed while awake turn to monsters.
People who are exposed while asleep turn into cartoon animals.
Some people do not transform.
Topsiders are protected by their suits, until they aren’t.
Every world near this one is dead of life.
Why not this one?
“By His Bootstraps” Perhaps Marx sending Flask back in time made this one unique.
Only the demi-god Neathery knows…

I guess Ravenscroft isn’t bored any more. He did say that Eden was “uncannily boring”. Silly bird man. You never know who might hear you.
