My husband lived in California for a while & got used to earthquakes. One time he was visiting his grandparents. His grandfather went to wake him up by shaking him. My husband, still pretty much asleep, went to cover his head with his arms…and punched his grandfather in the mouth!

“A faint breeze carries the odor of dampness and decay…” Sounds like Elly needs to brush her teeth!

We are always a little bit different after an adventure. Our life rarely is.

This is the first indication we get of just how long Michael was on that boat. Both he and Elly are still in the same clothes they were wearing when he came home. Now she is into room cleaning which means that, unless Elly is into cleaning kids’ rooms in the middle of the night, Michael did not come home until the next day after that boat ride. The McRae boat was probably not discovered until they could be seen at daylight.

All things considered, I might give Mike a little time to rest before I started screaming about his messy room and shaking his bed. But then again, I am not Elly Patterson, who was just starting to worry the morning after her son went on a boat trip with a family she did not know and had not met. In contrast, Michael’s messy room is enough for her to start screaming and shaking his bed. Her priorities seem a little out-of-whack.

Too bad they took away the “dislike” symbol when they re-organized this site…

If this was the real world, she would have had a heart attack or stroke by now with all that screaming. No human being can have Elly’s blood pressure and live.

Um didn’t they get home really late? Wouldn’t he be really tired? And now she wants him to clean his room?
