Come and gone. The fate of all matter.

The danger of the long view.

I remember a “Non Sequitur” from about 2000 with a similar theme but that time it was a stadium.

Make it a cemetery.

BC: "Maybe we can make it into a huge distribution warehouse and make home delivery sales of everything people want via remote orders?

Peter: “Nah. That weird Bezos guy who lives over in the other valley is already trying that idea, but it will never work.”

Oh the irony of it all. Stonehenge is still standing, a testament to determination and quality of purpose. And, unlike the malls, it is still functioning as designed. So many malls become wrecks and sell junk. Some even disappeared within a single generation.

and now you know…the rest of the story.

So it really was an idea before its time?!

And like THAT, they invented a MAJOR Future Tourist Attraction…….,

Now it all makes sense….

Let’s not forget that Stonehenge, unlike a shopping mall, was a government project.

Too bad Ogden Nash is dead . . we need a poem aboiut the never-ending shopping malls . . . maybe take off from “Ozymandias” (Shelly??) . . . Down here in central FL, we have the invasion of WaWas . . . did 7-11 sell out/get taken over by them??

Start working on that Super Wal-Mart instead.

Then the stip takes place in England .

That shopping mall came and went. This is the future not the past. But they don’t know that. Or do they? Anyway that was left over from the Gugs before they were condemned they and their works to the deep earth.
