Oh, the things dogs eat that are inedible. (How did one edit pre-digital photography? By simply cutting with scissors the unnecessary parts?)

Had died or left office? Why do you soften that crook’s evil deeds? He made those people who “died” or “left” executed, because he was a paranoid prick who had no values whatsoever but power.

That makes the 4th pacifier this week. Gee, I wonder where they are going?

Were these dog owners crack heads?

Quite often those who died or left office were gone due to Stalin’s doing.

In ‘1984’, George Orwell’s protagonist Winston had a job that was , in essence, to photoshop images to remove or replace individuals

who were no longer in the party’s favor.—-that is until Winston became no longer in the party’s favor

From what I’ve read, Stalin’s photo folks were kept really busy updating pics.

As part of Khrushchev’s de-stalinization the State Anthem of the Soviet Union was purged of references to Stalin, the City of Stalingrad was renamed Volgograd, & Stalin’s body was moved from Lenin’s Mausoleum in Red Square to a location near the Kremlin wall.

Here’s an actual example of a doctored Stalinist era photograph. Dozens more online. Many viewable at bing.com by searching on “Stalinist doctored photos.”

Weirdest were the re-doctored and re-re-doctored ones. There might be four people in the first version, three in the second, then two in a later example, and finally only one, Stalin himself. That showed that surviving one purge didn’t protect an individual from falling out of favor later on.

The same practices occur in totalitarian societies whether communist or anticommunist even today. And, increasingly, among non-governmental extremist groups even in the free world. Some are obvious fakes that could pass as “jokes” but many are clearly attempts to deceive the voting public.

At least there’s a bright side; they won’t need to buy their kid pacifiers for a while…

Let’s see … Joseph Stalin … “died” or … “left office” … photo retouching. I think ol’ Joe was erasing more than photos, here.

Story about Krushchev. Soon after he took over, in a Politburo session he was being taken to task for not being more, ah, “assertive” about calling his predecessor on “mistakes that were made.” Krushchev turned around suddenly and shouted “Who said that!!!”

There was dead silence: nobody even moved.

Krushchev said “Now you know why.”
