Case? What case, Testicle Chimp?

As someone else pointed out, that chirping sound is the giant grasshoppers from “Beginning of the End.” Isn’t it nice to know that bugs scare Mordred? And Thick, too, because he’s aimed his gun away from Mordred. They both hate bugs! Too bad they don’t have any handcuffs so they can turn this into a real bonding moment.

That’s one mighty big car Sam’s driving! Were the Pacer’s really that large inside?

The car is an AMC Pacer again.

Tracy’s gun hand is growing out of his shoulder.

Mordred appears to have taken charge, and is clearly the dominant one in this relationship.

That chirping sound is either a helicopter dispatched by the AWACS or it is a swarm of apathy crickets.

It certainly is a quirky case.

Well they did have really high ceilings and expansive windows.

Normally if peoples’ facial reconstruction goes wrong, they sue the surgeon, get publicity and become famous.

Everybody in the strip must suffer from Alzheimer’s. A couple of days ago Mordred knew what the chirping sound was caused by— the building breaking up– now he doesn’t know.

About the Pacer’s interior size: That was their main selling point. Cars were getting smaller because of the oil embargo, so AMC built the Pacer wide in order to have huge interior room in a smaller car. I’m just surprised that you can still use one as a police cruiser some twenty-five years after production.

Until today Morbid was gloating over how the building was falling apart, Thick would die, he would die and life in general would become unpleasant. Now a chirping noise scares him. Does Locher want to show Morbid in fear of whatever is about to kill him? Or is Morbid trying to catch Thick off-guard, which he’s already done?

Maybe Locher is taking a page from Hitchcock’s “The Birds”. Hundreds of chirping birds will attack Mordred and peck him to pieces. Of course they won’t attack Tracy because he’s the good guy. No, that’s ridiculous, Locher wouldn’t write something that stupid. Rats to that.

Today, I believe for the first time, the daily strip of Dick Tracy is in color in the Chicago Tribune. I wonder when it will be in color here. By the way, it looks very nice.

Well, waddya know … no “do you ever get that déjà vu feeling when reading duck spacey” today. A tiny little something new happened.

If you expect me to believe for one minute that all of a sudden the storm has mysteriously gone and the sun is shining Im sorry but Ill have to refuse. Not only that, since when did Mordred care? And where is Sam driving? Shouldnt everything be cleared up where he is as well?

Well, just two more weeks of this drek. I am really excited to know that Dick Tracy isn’t going to die at the hand of a serial killer, or a writer who is asleep at the switch.

Panel 2 - Is Dick elbowing Mordred or is that Mordred’s (very short) arm reaching out to touch Tracy? It looks as though he could easily overpower Tracy but the gun might go off accidentally, one or both might be hit, Sam might hear the sound and go back to check the old farm building.

Presumably, Einstein defined insanity as doing the same thing over and over again while expecting a different result. So I must be a certifiable lunatic because I am so crazy as to click on this comic day after day and expect a different situation.

margueritem, open that picture with Windows Paint and use its Resize function to make it smaller. Setting it to twenty percent should make it small enough to work as your avatar.

BillThompson, I can’t use any avatar at all. I tried to change it last week, and all I get is this X thing now.
