Its the drunk

So…. 2 days ago (yes, its been THAT long) Doc is climbing UP the stairs and sees what he believes is Tracy, then yesterday fires… TODAY he is still at the top of the stairs but facing down towards the way he came up (or is he!?!?)…. so this begs the question.. did he see Tracy from the staircase as he ascended (highly unlikely since he was either at the mid range of stairs or closer to the top, either way a clear shot is impossible) and fired a blind shot, then turned around to gloat BEFORE heading back down…. OOOOOORRRRR is the staircase he is standing on gloating OVERLOOKING who he thought to be Tracy, then he turns and dashes BACK DOWN the stairs he climbed to begin with?

theres OBVIOUSLY more than one set of stairs he HAD to climb to get to the point where he fired the shot

1- (Doc decides to liven up the play by introducing a bit of Eddie G. Robinson into the act): Our Town? This is My Town see? And nobody’s gonna take it away from me, see? Yeah. See? 2- LADY: Oh boy! The play’s freestyle now! I’m going to be the gunmoll! MAN: And I’m going to be the only person of color in town. Oh, wait. I was already playing that role… 3- DOC: (And now for a little Cagney): You dirty rat. You’re the one who killed my brother. (Oops, dropped my gat…improvise!) Gloves McGinty don’t need no roscoe to take care a the likes of you. Yeah. See? LADY (also improvising): Don’t do it Gloves! They’ll fry you for sure!

Reminds me of Jimmy Cagney at the oil refinery in “White Heat” (1949), screaming “Look at me Ma! I’m on top of the world!” Something tells me, his fate will not be dissimilar.
