I know how we can find out! The other saying of “If a man is talking but there’s no-one there to hear him, is he still wrong?” can be used. Whatever he says the the answer about the tree making a noise is, the opposite must be correct! ☺

For sure she made a sound, and you’re probably gonna hear some more.

The correct saying is, “If a tree falls and there’s no one there to hear it, does it make a NOISE?” (The answer is no, because NOISE is a subjective term.)

I am sure Broomie heard a sound, but instead of a ‘crash’ it was more like a ‘ftphhfff’. It had padding; which is why other people didn’t hear it

Either the tree fell on its own or the men are incredibly incompetent lumberjacks. Just take a look at the condition of the stump and the bottom of the fallen tree.

It would not make a sound if no one is around to hear it. Sound is the interpretation of sound waves and you need a person for that.
