OK, now I’m curious about whether there’s a statistically significant variation in birth date distribution across the calendar year.

Each day is a celebration.

I agree that every day is a gift. I don’t expect anything special on a birthday, although a party every 10 years or so is good. It’s better to do something for someone else rather than just focusing on one’s self all the time. Just be grateful you get that day.

September 9th is the most common birth date in the U.S. I know 2 people—relatives— with that birthday. I also have 2 relatives born on Feb. 29, my nephew and my husband’s uncle.

When I was young boy I asked my dad how many people there were in the world. We hauled out the Encyclopedia Britanica and read about world population. As I recall, it was 2.2 billion. My, we humans have been busy, haven’t we?

birthdays are anniversaries, we celebrate them like we would any other annual event. A birthday isn’t a celebration for some accomplishment, but an affirmation that the people who know you like you enough to celebrate it.

TJ is something of a mystery. He’s good-looking, smart, accomplished (cooking and other things, and didn’t it come out in a strip, ages ago, that he speaks Italian?). But in sharp contrast to Les and some others, he seems to have no interest in, ahem, girls.
