1972, eh? For some reason, I imagined that brainless expressions like “Like, wow!” came years later, in the 1980s or so. Did Sally start it?

Sally needs to talk to her ‘sweet baboo’ about Christmas. Didn’t Linus play a shepherd in the Charlie Brown Christmas play?

Hmm must be an emphasis on giving if the artist had to mention it twice in a row

I’m with Sally on this one. The true spirit of Christmas is one of selfishness and greed.

How ironic (and prophetic) considering that this is from 1972. This could have been written today: there’s no mention of Thanksgiving Day and all the emphasis is on “getting” rather than giving. Sally’s twisted concept of “Christmas” fits right in with today’s self-entitlement and materialistic attitudes that seem to be getting more prevalent.

Did we use expressions such as “like, wow!” back in 1972? It doesn’t sound right…

Hopefully, she gets it before she grows up and becomes a full-blown diva. Or, maybe it was a grownup version of her that sang: “Santa Baby”

Sally is just expressing every smaller kids idea of Christmas. And very well done, too. Even written in cursive, which most baby boomers didn’t learn to write until 4th or fifth grade.
