I’m thinking of all the great scientific discoveries that would never have been made if somebody had played it safe. Ben Franklin’s kite springs immediately to mind.
- “Instant variety” : at the last second, near the end of their tour, The Rolling Stones decided to finish with a free concert.
- “Last minute switch” of venue from Golden Gate Park to Altamont.
- Keith Richards wore a red shirt and black pants on stage.
- “If you played it safe, these things might not happen” : The disastrous mistake was using the Hell’s Angels for security rather than an established security force. If not for that decision, Gimme Shelter would have been a very different—and less note worthy—concert documentary.
Whoa! It appears we have a minor twist. Probably good to shake things up. Because while, as the saying goes, there are no old, bold pilots, for everyone else, there’s not even a way to make “long-term successful” and “perpetually cautious” rhyme.

Well, I love Frazz as Triton. Or Aquaman. Or something like.

Very clever use of a broom as a trident. I have to remember that.

Anyone recognize the symbol on Frazz’ broom? Or is it just supposed to look more “witchy” like a Quidditch broom?

Not a clue.

The broom is dressed up to be a trident. the weapon of Poseidon, or Neptune.

If it is a trident, then Frazz’s shirt looks suspiciously like scales

My guess: Gimme Shelter (1970)
- Classic Maysles documentary
- “Instant variety” : at the last second, near the end of their tour, The Rolling Stones decided to finish with a free concert.
- “Last minute switch” of venue from Golden Gate Park to Altamont.
- Keith Richards wore a red shirt and black pants on stage.
