Use rote. “Exciting news as we come on the air…..Trump bad……China trade question…..football…….sad child story…..” and endless commercials.
Looks like a huge news story is about to break!

Everything on our local news is BREAKING NEWS! Yesterday it was too!
….and,as of right now,…I’m on vacation! ;o]
That must be a really small local affiliate. In most markets they use teleprompters now.
The news is just a lot of sheet anyway.
Time to invest in some sort of scrolling device that will project the script for the new reader, don’t you think?
And this just in, the newscaster hasn’t got a clue.
