Surprised that the goblin didn’t ask Phoebe: “What’s with that get up?”

I’ve been waiting for Phoebe to get turned into something, and then go off and have an adventure being able to understand whatever creature she became… didn’t expect it to be a goblin though – I was kind of expecting Marigold to turn her into a ‘pastel pony’!

I wonder how it is to have a tail

I’m glad that the goblins have been brought back into the strip. I live in Chester in north-west England. It’s about twelve miles from Liverpool. The road that connects Chester with Liverpool comes into Chester through our North Gate. West of the North Gate, there is a tower called Goblin Tower (also known as Pemberton Chambers) which was named after a wood called Goblin Wood which no longer exists. Another connection between Chester and goblins is a well at Grosvernor Park to the east of Chester’s city walls. This well is known as Billy Hobbie’s well and Billy Hobbie is believed to have been a legendary hobgoblin.

Love this mini-story arc! (thinking) Hmmm. Maybe in the next script for HAVOC, INC, I should turn Chester into a goblin…?

This is going well.

I’ve just read today’s strip for a second time. Phoebe now reminds me of when Marigold cast a lying spell on herself and kept saying that she was not what she really was.

It would be best if she just admitted to be a transformed human. She will probably have to tell Prunella the truth when she asks about Dakota.

I always liked the children’s book “Robbut: A Tale of Tails” by Robert “Rabbit Hill” Lawson. A rabbit is dissatisfied with his own tail, is given different other kinds by magic, which don’t end well, and then, inevitably, Learns Better. (But, like Phoebe, I would love to have a tail and would be fascinated by the experience!)

I’d probably take the dog approach to having a tail, too.

Yesterday the goblin had an earring in each ear, and today they don’t. Huh.

WHEW! They’ve provided a translation. I was afraid that I’d have to use my imagination to figure out what all the “blarts” meant… And MY imagination knows no bounds! >:)
