Black Friday is an example of a societal madness.

I participated in Black Friday nonsense once. 53 years ago. Never again.

Best buy was famous for bait and switch. $400 laptop!! (At least ten per store.) I went out a few years ago, WalMart had a promise that everyone would get the sale price. Turns out when the item was gone, you bought a gift card promising the item would be sent, but it wasn’t guaranteed before Christmas, so you were basically buying a WalMart Gift card. I didn’t fall for it. Haven’t gone out on Black Friday since.

But nobody ever cheers.

I doubt people get the deals they once thought they were getting. The markets are just waiting for them. The bait is set and the traps are oiled. No matter though. Get out there and consume you conspicuous people you. CHARGE!! “brought to you by VISA. Everywhere you want to be(watching you).”
