We’ve always had more than one cat. “Eddie, you don’t want to eat that? Fine. I’ll give it to Pershing.” And as I pushed the dish toward Pershing, Eddie would reach out a paw and hook it back. “Well, if you want to be that way about it . . .”
Pepper generally refuses to admit he’s hungry, and acts like he’s doing Sheba a favour by telling me the dry food bowl is empty. Never mind he then complains if she eats too long.. LOL!
My semi feral gloms the turkey with gravy and the chicken with gravy but will only eat the beef with gravy because I don’t put anything else out. This is probably because cats never caught a cow!
We have three cats. Two live in the house and one is a stray (Porch Kitty). Because Porch Kitty like to share with her outside friends, that’s the cheap food. We bring the uneaten food in at night to discourage raccoons and the like. The indoor cats love the cheap food when we bring it in. That’s cats for you.

Usually, the more expensive the cat food, the less likely the cat is to eat it.
And why are you wasting money on nasty French cheese that hasn’t even set properly? Get dome decent Double Gloucester instead.

If Luddie doesn’t like it, he can get a job and buy what he wants ;-)

Told my wife our cat will eat that food when he’s hungry enough. The knot went down in a few days.

Well, Arlo, you can always mix that rejected cat food in your yearly “Turkey Surprise” meal the day after Thanks Giving.

Maybe if the bowl scampered around like a mouse he’d be more interested.
