Avoid cliches like the plague. Also, avoid the plague like cliches.

The dumbest are often the happiest.

I think it’s a great idea. I’ll go one step further (aside): who put the ram in the ramalamadingdong?

OMG! Speaking of clichés, I just finished rereading “Station Wagon in Spain,” an old Frances Parkinson Keyes novel. (ANYBODY remember her???) Every cliched situation. plot gambit, and romantic line ever invented is in there. I can see why she’s not much read anymore; one step up from Barbara Cartland. . .

P.S. Hey, Earl, howsabout the old Mark Twain saw warning not o open your mouth and prove you are a fool? (Guess that would be too long a quote for one of these panels. . .)
