All I can think of is the opening to “Wal-E”. . .actually we should be spending money on finding more ways to recycle plastic. The stuff is tough and indestructible, it can be made to look like ANYTHING, it’s light. . .hell, I saw pix of a schoolhouse made from soda bottles. Benches are made from it; I think Scotland and Norway use in mixtures to pave their roads.
Yep. Knew he’d save the rhetoric till the end, and if we don’t read it, it’ll drive us crazy. He may be a far-left nut job, but he knows how to set us up. Well played, Wiley. Well played.
I’m viewing this on a plastic screen, with a plastic mouse. I injected my insulin with a plastic syringe. My cereal cam e in a plastic bag, and the milk in a plastic jug. I brushed my teeth with a plastic brush. Soon, I’ll go to a car with vinyl seats, a plastic dash, and start an engine with plastic components. It’s a plastic world. We’ve got to find a way to make plastic biodegradable..it’s the only answer.
In the science series, LIFE WITHOUT PEOPLE, with the premise of what would happen to the Earth and all we’d leave behind if we just vanished, one of the episodes said that the last remaining vestige of humanity wouldn’t be the Great Wall or the Pyramids but our mounds of plastic.

Even the sturdiest ‘news bubble’ fails to keep out fake news. Apparently, reality can be ignored but smoke and mirrors are unavoidable. Odd, that.

Somehow Panel 3 makes me think of China and what they’re doing in the South China Sea.
