I feel that way after every OS they drop support for causing me to lose stuff in the oncoming “upgrade”. They should by law be made to support their products as long as people are using them.
We have training equipment that hasn’t had a driver update since WinME. It dies when the computer dies. Most places would be clueless unless we find a computer and wheelwright shop.
I now have something in my life that makes me more angry than update issues…. That is, getting 30 day bans on Facebook for posting things that DO NOT violate their own posted rules and regulations! It doesn’t matter to them, if they’ve got a target pasted on your back, and they also deny you any ability to contest their decisions, other than file an “appeal.” The appeal is just a button to click on, so you are not allowed to detail your reasons. Most appeals (and EVERY appeal I have initiated) are denied. And at times, it takes longer for them to review your appeal than the length of your suspension of service! Thank you for listening.

For Mike, that was in 1995.

In my house, no windows!
W10 was the last straw. Foisting candy-crush, spying and security failures. Three-toed sloth slow.
Minty fresh without windows.

An Apple a day keeps Bill Gates away.

The last upgrade made everything more time consuming, more steps, and a PITA! I thought things were supposed to get simpler?

After Windows 8 they went straight to Windows 10. Why? Because 7 8 9.

When I retired, I left all that Windows stuff at work, and switched to Apple. It was like stepping out of the cave into beautiful sunlight.

Hasn’t it been something like 15 or 20 years since Gates last played any sort of executive role at Microsoft?

I’m pretty sure Bill has very little to do with Windows anymore. Even when he was running Microsoft, he was not involved with any coding projects.

William Gates III (“Bill”) has never been nerdy. In the beginning of his career, he just was a wanna-be-nerdy with multi-millionair parents.

I heard british government was paying big money to get Win 7 upgrades I don’t know if they have it still today. Germany has GNU/Linux.
