after 2 cancers with surgeries/rays/chemo and well losing the grandma, even my mother started to try more and open her mind. quite the opposite frommy father that became even more racist and bigot…like compensation shit.
My mom had the battery in her pacemaker replaced and had to use a sling that didn’t stay put very well. She used it for a week or 2 (it’s been a while so I don’t remember). A few days after, we were walking around the block, she tripped and did a face plant on the sidewalk. I had no chance to catch her. She dislocated her left shoulder (didn’t damage the pacemaker thank God) and was back in the sling.
That reminds me of meeting Irwin Hanson, who drew the Dondi strip. He was still attending conventions into his 90’s and selling hand colored prints of drawings he’d done for The Justice Society.

Oh my, I’m terribly sorry, the stupid computer will only let me “like” this once.

Sometimes you need some shaking up to regain the right perspective for the importance of stuff.

The child has such huge round eyes and the adults and his bro have dots. Not criticizing just a curious observation. I enjoy this strip.

I wish our grandkids lived closer. I’d love to color with them.
