Why would anyone want to, or even consider wasting their time & energy to pop balloons to create a time record for it? Mr Rush has too much time on his hands…oops feet.

How fast are those beetles? At 80 miles away, I would think the fire might go out before they can get there!

That 80 mile rush is generally referred to as beetlemania.

Pyrophilous Beetles are the source of the song, “Light My Fire”? I thought it was the Screen Doors.

They make it seem like the beetle is going to mate with the fire. Now that is one red hot lover! ☺

Think about it. How would you go about proving that the Pyrophilous Beetle can sense a fire up to 80 miles away, and why would you even bother to try.
