The big question is whether the leg-before-wicket rule applies when the ball is caught by the fielder at silly mid-off. Do you then get a free kick at the goal, or replace the puck?
In fifth grade we had basketball in PE for the first time. I complained that I didn’t know how to play basketball, but the coach replied he would teach us. Then he threw out the ball and a game began. I still have no idea how to play basketball.
did schools really have sign-ups and regimentation like that in the 1980s for RECESS? I don’t think so. Back when I was in elementary school in ancient times it was a free for all
To assume and/or force someone ito sports is unconstitutional or should be. Freedom of choice! This is on the level of forcing everyone to be a Republican!
When I was in grade school, they told me to bunt when I went up to bat. I thought, “Isn’t that a bad thing to do?” I was thinking of a balk, which is something the pitcher does.

If you tackle the shortstop, he will get 2 free-throws and a penalty kick.

Calvin sure isn’t much for organized sports.

Obviously Calvin’s a “My way or the highway” kind of guy. Of course, who can blame him?

With this intuitive grasp of the finer nuances of the game, Cal should be a natural! :D

Calvin is not a follow-the-rules types of guy!

That would be an interesting addition to the game of baseball if you could tackle someone, not that I would want to see it.

Yes, on Tuesday.

How about a rousing game of Fizzbin,..
Each player gets six cards, except for the player on the dealer’s right, who gets seven.
The second card is turned up, except on Tuesdays.
Two jacks are a “half-fizzbin.”
If you have a half-fizzbin:
a third jack is a “sralk” and results in disqualification;
one wants a king and a deuce, except at night, when one wants a queen and a four;
if a king had been dealt, the player would get another card, except when it is dark, in which case he would have to forfeit that card.
The top hand is a “royal fizzbin,” but the odds against getting one are said to be “astronomical.”
Spock admitted, “I’ve never computed them.”

Tackling the shortstop isn’t considered good form, Calvin.

At least Calvin will get to argue about the rules, until the umpire throws him out.

Typical “I don’t want to cooperate with anyone” attitude by the anti-social Calvin.

Calvin once decided it wouldn’t be good to have snow all year round because it would make running in baseball hard.
